SUNNY DAY CENTER

Well, this morning Paul Derrick and I played for an enthusiastic group at the Sunny Day Center. Paul lead everything because he is the professional with the gig. I am the nubie learning the ropes. It was very fun. He played the acoustic, and I was on my electric. He sung all the songs, and I sung what I could.

This facility is for persons with some form of mental illness or mental retardation. The most outstanding part of playing for an audience as such is that they really get into it. We had toe tapping, finger snapping, stand up dancing fun. I am a long way from having these folk songs memorized, and definitely a long way away from having the lyrics down, but this group was a great group because it just didn't matter. All that mattered was having fun and that we did.

Thanks and praises to The Most High God for His awesome provisions. Happy Holidays and goodwill toward all men.

You mean to say you are still learning the music as well as the lyrics...
