If I could take every breath that I take
and make it last long enough to begin
to comprehend
why I should always be glad
and be grateful
I might never no ever breath out again
until time passes by waving
thankful
that I surrendered when called
claimed defeat to it all
and the breathing won out after living had stalled
when it's all said and done
